Text A2011 to (440) 571-5185Position Overview: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for managing the procurement and coordination of MRO items to ensure operational efficiency. This role involves researching cost, quality, and usage information to optimize purchasing decisions, maintain inventory levels, and support day-to-day operations within the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Procure MRO Items: Manage the purchasing process for MRO items, including sourcing suppliers, placing orders, and ensuring timely delivery to meet operational needs.
• Research Costing and Quality: Conduct detailed research on MRO items to gather costing information, evaluate product quality, and ensure items meet necessary specifications and industry standards.
• Analyze Usage Data: Track and analyze usage patterns of MRO items to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and reduce unnecessary costs or overstocking.
• Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery schedules.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory control teams to ensure accurate stock levels, monitor reorder points, and manage stock replenishment for MRO materials.
• Cost Savings Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing, alternative products, and improved procurement processes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, and other relevant documentation. Generate reports on procurement activities and inventory status as needed.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards throughout the procurement process.Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on MRO or manufacturing-related items.
  • Strong knowledge of cost analysis, supplier management, and inventory control.
  • Ability to research and evaluate product quality and supplier performance.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems.Education:
