Job Title: Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift



Job Description: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be able to] troubleshooting and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical qualifications, including experience with 480v power systems, AC/DC motors and drives, and PLC controls. Mechanical experience, including equipment rebuilds and troubleshooting, is also essential. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes is required. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., work at various heights, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety are crucial. Overtime may be required.

Pay Range: $33.45 - $34.45

Duties and Responsibilities:

Mechanical Responsibilities


Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Maintains inventories of parts and supplies by checking stock and placing requisitions.
Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Leads equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations
Assists all departments with machinery breakdowns (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to troubleshoot and diagnose system breakdowns; then make appropriate repairs and recommendations.


Electrical Qualifications


Industrial Electrician with experience working on and around 480v power
Minimum one year of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
AC & DC motors drives and controls
Knowledge of 120/240/480v single and three phase systems
Ability to use most hand and power tools and other tools needed for this position: Amp clamp, voltmeter, wrenches, drills, presses, torches, etc.
Working knowledge of state and local safety codes
Install, test, and maintain all drive panels, drives, enclosures, motors, PLC, control devices and other electrical systems




Qualifications:


Ability to lift 50Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
Ability to climb ladders, and work at many height levels
Reading, writing, and mathematical competency
General computer competency
Maintains a safe and clean work place by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Assist with 5S Program Implementation and ongoing utilization
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
Willing to work overtime when needed
Follow all safety requirements for this position


Education:


Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent


Knowledge and Experience:


Required: Three (3) - Five (5) years industrial maintenance experience
