Job Description:

Supervisor of Ride Maintenance at Cedar Point, a leading amusement park with a diverse range of roller coasters, seeks a skilled professional to lead a team in ride maintenance and repair.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of rides and attractions, ensuring they are in safe operating condition. You will also supervise subordinate crew members, providing training, scheduling, and direct instruction to ensure they meet departmental standards.

• Lead a team in ride maintenance and repair, ensuring all rides and attractions are in safe operating condition.
  
• Supervise subordinate crew members, providing training, scheduling, and direct instruction to ensure they meet departmental standards.
  
• Develop and implement short- and long-range ride maintenance and repair plans, including winter overhauls and year-long preventive maintenance.
  
• Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing rides and vehicles during the operating season, and ensure all maintenance problems are reported to the Area Manager.
  
• Assist in preparing the department budget, ordering parts and materials, and maintaining adequate inventory.
  
• Ensure the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment, conduct safety meetings and inspections, and respond to inquiries and concerns from associates and guests.
  
• Hire candidates for open positions, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to perform their job to the best of their ability.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or GED required.
    
  • Vocational/technical training preferred.
    
  • 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
    
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
    
  • Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, and various other hand and power tools.
    
  • Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE.
    
  • Ability to pass a background check and a mandatory drug test, per company policy.
    
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
