For over 72 years, we have provided a range of programs and services to empower individuals and promote independence in their daily lives.Position Overview:The Director of Finance serves as the highest-ranking financial executive within the organization, responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial leadership to achieve organizational goals. This role involves managing financial operations, reporting, and guiding the development and execution of financial strategies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and collaborate with executive management to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Advise on financial implications of business decisions and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial plans, including annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial models.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to the executive team.
  • Actively participate in board meetings, presenting comprehensive financial reports, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and updates to the finance committee, seeking their input and approval on key financial matters.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Present financial reports to executive leadership, board members, and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure the organization's adherence.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members in areas such as accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Direct the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic insights to executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals align with overall organizational objectives.
  • Oversee external and internal audit processes, ensuring timely completion and addressing audit findings.
  • Implement recommendations to enhance financial controls and reporting.
  • Evaluate and optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement improvements and upgrades.RequirementsQualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
    • Several years of experience in senior financial roles, with a proven track record of strategic financial leadership.
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
    • Previous nursing home/Intermediate Care Facility experience preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Prior supervisory experience.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
